  1. Use the Black Jack 1 Gal. Roof and Foundation Liquid Asphalt Coating on above or below grade surfaces as a water proofer, re-surface or sealer. This asphalt coating is ideal for use on roofs or foundations made of asphalt, concrete or metal. This odorless, solvent-free asphalt coating dries to a black finish to help renew worn surfaces.
  2. Black Jack® Rubr-Coat #57 is a premium rubberized coating for waterproofing roofs and foundations. This liquid applied asphalt coating has a blend of rubber and reinforcing fibers to provide a strong, flexible, waterproof seal.
  3. As a Foundation Coating, this product seals masonry, foam board insulation, wood and metal surfaces to protect, preserve and damp-proof, below grade surfaces. This multi-use product forms a tough rubberized seal for lasting protection on a variety of surfaces. Rubr-Coat may be used to adhere foam board insulation to masonry surfaces.

How Much Should I Buy?

Coverage is provided as a range to accommodate variations in surface porosity. On the roof, smoother surfaces like metal will achieve better coverage rates and require less product. The same applies on the ground. Driveways that are in better condition will absorb less.

How do I calculate square footage?
Square footage is based on multiplying the length of an area x width of that area.
What about non-rectangular areas?
In those instances, you need to break the area down into smaller rectangles. For instance, an L-shaped surface can be broken into 2 smaller rectangles (see illustration below). Add the 2 areas (100 + 200 = 300 sq ft) to get a total.

For areas where you will not apply product, subtract that area from the total.
